Cheese 2013

Tens of thousands descend upon Bra (Piedmont) last weekend for Cheese, Slow Food’s bi-annual international homage to fermented lactose. That was great and all, but I wish I could find stats on the beer consumption over the course of the four-day event. If wine is the traditional cheese partner, it missed a big opportunity; as is their tradition at Slow Food events, the Brits managed to strategically place their beer booth at the moment of highest pedestrian free-sample fatigue. In the absence of crackers (yeah, why was that??), let the people drink their carbs…somethin’s gotta wash down that really weird aged goat…weird aged goat
